Q
Why is the price lower than other used Japanese car dealerships in Honolulu?
We do not keep a stock of cars in Honolulu and purchase cars from Japan after receiving an order, so we do not need management or storage space. We also keep office space to a minimum and labor costs to a minimum.
Q
Please tell me the process of ordering a car.
Once you have decided on the type of car you wish to purchase, we will go back to the dealership to check the condition of the car along with your questions. Once you are satisfied, we will check the vessel's availability and advise you of the expected arrival time. Finally, please make your payment and wait for your car to arrive.
Q
In what cases are insurance costs incurred when transporting a car mainly applicable?
In recent years, there have been rare reports of theft of in-house parts during transportation by ship. In such a case, purchase of a substitute product, shipping costs, etc. will be applied.
Q
When the car is actually delivered, if it is clearly different from the photo or has obvious defects, how can you take responsibility for it?
To prevent this from happening, we double check with the car dealership before proceeding with the purchase process. However, depending on the car, we cannot guarantee that there will be no problems caused by rust or other problems that occur inside the ship. We will do our best to prevent this from happening, but even if you are not satisfied, we are a broker and cannot provide guarantees or refunds regarding the vehicle.
Q
I'm interested in Japanese cars. Is it possible to purchase or import a recent diesel car?
Unfortunately, in all states in the US and of course in Hawaii, cars cannot be imported unless they are over 25 years old. For example, since this year is 2024, you can import a 1999 model car. Of course, if it's an older car, there's no problem. In addition, both gasoline and diesel vehicles can be imported as long as they meet certain conditions.
Q
How long does it take from purchase to actually getting the car?
Depending on how crowded the ship is, it can take about two months at the earliest, and four to five months when it's busy. RoRo is a method of loading cargo into a gap, but if you reserve a container and load it (an additional transportation fee will be charged), you may be able to shorten the time. (Please inquire)
